We try to use a consistent approach a much as we can. For most of our so called ‘data grids’ we use the following approach:
- Filters
- Bulk actions
- Presets
- Data grid
Datagrid elements
Filters
Each datagrid in Fleet Management provides filters for the records displayed in the grid. E.g. all records created on a particular date, groups with a certain count of records, all devices for a specific account etc.. The available filters depend on the record type of the grid. The filters accept only one value at a time. If it is needed to search for records by a list of multiple values, the search bar in the upper right corner of the grid is to be used (see Search section on this page).
Bulk actions
To perform bulk actions on multiple records in the datagrid, for example deleting multiple records at once, the checkbox for each required record needs to be checked and the action to be performed has to be selected in the Action widget on the upper right under “Choose action”.
Presets
Can be used to store your favorite datagrid column selection.
Datagrid
The grid it self show the data records. Various features are available among which:
- Export CSV/XLS/PDF
- Paging
- Search
- Multi-select to perform bulk actions
